1 Lay the Draw
This popular trading method, as any quick internet search will tell you, only works if you have the right selection method. The aim is to find a game that will most likely have goals in it and not end in a draw. Then you lay the draw pre-game, and trade out after a goal is scored for guaranteed profit whatever the result. There are many variations in this method, especially regarding when or if to trade out at some point, or to focus on games with favorites or evenly balanced games, but the one thing all of them require is a football match with goals. Alert 1: 0%-0% draws in last 8 matches in home and away. (A team that either wins or loses.)
Alert 2: 50%-100% over 3.5 goals FT in current season home and away, minimum 10 games played.
Alert 3: 50%-100% over 1.5 goals HT in current season home and away, minimum 10 games played.
Alert 4: 30%-100% over 13.5 corners FT in current season home and away, minimum 10 games played.
Just one of these alerts could be used to highlight a fixture likely to have many goals. Or multiple alerts can be used to highlight different goal indicating statistics. Then the fixtures appearing in the most alerts can be selected.
2 Lay the Half Time Draw
This is a variation on the Lay the Draw method. With draw odds often at the 2.0 mark allowing for bigger lay bet profits, only needing to be in the trade for 45 minutes or less, and bigger odds swings from just one goal being score, this strategy is the fast paced version of its more well-known forerunner.
For this, half time, rather than full time, statistics become more important and Betlamp has those in abundance.

Alert 2: 50%-100% over 1.5 goals HT in current season home and away, minimum 10 games played.
3 Back the Current Score
This is a strategy that looks for games that are expected to have low scores. The idea is that you back the 0-0 correct score with 1 point (e.g. at odds of 12), then if there is a goal, back the new score line in the correct score market with another 1 point (e.g. at odds of 5) then if there is another goal, back that new score with 1 point or more points to break even or achieve a target profit for this market. (e.g. 2 points at odds of 2.5). There are many variations of this method, mostly regarding staking and cut off points. Some users do not place further bets after the odds drop below evens. Some users only bet 1 point, even if it means they make a loss on that market, as part of a longer term profit strategy. All of these variations want games with few goals. 0-0, 1-0, 0-1 games are best. By looking at current season statistics, we can see teams whose playing style is defensive and unadventurous, just trying to park the bus for a draw, or to score one goal, sit back, shut up shop and run the clock down. These teams often play this way due to their manager’s tactics and their attitude toward their league expectations in the current season.

4 Back the Home Hot Streaks
Sometimes automatic alerts can show us betting opportunities better than manually looking through football statistics since they ignore the name power of teams. Some people might see the name Real Madrid and think goals are likely to flow. Some people might see West Ham vs Southampton and think that a low scoring draw is on the way, and we may not check the statistics further. But with automatically researched alerts, we get the hot streaks of current form emailed to us without any bias. This is great for catching value bets as team form changes throughout a season. Some people spend their time looking through the fixture list for games where the home team has won their last 8 games in row or where the away team has lost their last 8 in a row away. When you see that kind of form, you can imagine that it might be worth a bet.

Make Your Own In-Play Luck
“Luck is what happens when preparation meets opportunity” said Roman philosopher Seneca. This is especially true for in-play betting. If you research games beforehand, and are ready to make your move if the moment comes, you can get much better odds for something considered a banker bet.
5 Back the Home Comeback
For in-play betting, you need to pick your matches to watch at the start of the day and wait to see if a profitable opportunity arises. For example, not many people like to bet 100 euros that Man City will beat Sheffield United at home at odds of 1.15, despite the seeming “safeness” of the bet. It is such a low return for the risk. But if Sheffield United scored early in the first half, you might be able to get odds of 2.0 that city will win, or 1.40 that Man City will draw or win (Double Chance bet or lay the away side on an exchange). In general, strong teams like Man City rarely lose at home to much weaker opposition (but it does happen), and as the game goes on, City will put more and more men forward, and you can guarantee that if they are still losing at the 80 minute mark, they will be throwing nearly everyman forward, taking risks and throwing the kitchen sink at the opposition in an effort to get at least a point from a draw. That is the kind of bet some would like to have 100 euros on at odds of 1.4, that City will not lose at home to a bottom 3 team.
But we don’t want to spend our Saturdays waiting for Man City, Juventus or Bayern Munich to go 0-1 down at home. It rarely happens. But there are plenty of other teams that are very strong at home, playing teams that rarely win away. If we could have alerts sent to us each day of teams that rarely lose at home playing teams that rarely win away, put them into a livescore app (e.g. futbol24 livescore app) that alerts us when goals are scored, and then just wait for a 0-1 scoreline to flash up, We can use our time on other things and just place bets on this strategy when the 0-1 score comes up. 6 Back over 0.5 goals if 0-0 at HT
In this betting method, you find games with a high goals expectancy, and if they are still 0-0 at half time, then you bet on the over 0.5 goals market that there will be at least 1 goal scored in the match. You can give yourself an edge in this by setting up alerts for games where statistics suggest goals, again, put those fixtures into a livescore app, and then if a 0-0 half time scoreline notification comes up, you make your bet. This is another simple method that allows you to do your preparation at the start of the betting day, then focus on other things until the scoreline notifications come in. You can choose to bet on over 0.5 goals, or even over 1,5 goals to be scored based on your risk level, gut feeling and in-play stats.
